Born a God

You take care
not to step on
the one bee
working the clover

one bee where
there used to be
many

then the sun on
a just born fawn
its mother standing near
asking you to please
disappear

the osprey cries
as she flies
from her nest

even the bear
turns and runs
as you near

they all scare
as they should

even from one
who never asked
to be born a god
in their world.
